This week sees the celebration of proper, additive-free, as-pure-as-it-comes bread as well as the wonderful, celebrated menu item of The Sandwich.
Bread has had its moments of bad press over the last few years but this week allows us all to take a moment to make a discovery in Real Bread Week. It has been claimed that wheat intolerance can often be misdiagnosed and we could all give our bodies a different digestive experience if we clear synthetic, factory-processed, additive-based bread products from our diet.
Use real bread to be as creative with fillings for your lunchtime sandwich as is humanly possible and you'll find yourself also recognising British Sandwich Week!
